Baptism Video

Unfortunately, a lot of times when we make changes to our production routines, it’s because something went awry.  That is the case here.  Recently, we had a flub with a baptism video, where the wrong one was played.  The problem is not that we played the wrong video, it’s a live environment where mistakes can happen.  We’ve all been there.  The problem is that we didn’t realize that we were playing the wrong video until it was too late and the video played in its entirety.

We are going to make a simple change that I believe will help to prevent this from happening again.  The video director will call for the video in this format; video number + first name, e.g. 9A-Mary.  In order for this to succeed, we have to battle against complacency, no matter how many times we do this successfully.  Baptisms are one of the most, if not the most important thing we do.
